2020 Volkswagen Arteon Trim Levels
The Volkswagen Arteon is a bit of an unusual car but in the best of ways. Not only is it a combination of European luxury style and conservative German engineering, but it is also a combination between a sedan and a hatchback. It looks like a luxury sedan, but the back opens like a full hatch.
Further, this vehicle has seven trim levels, depending on how you count them. There are only about four trims if you don’t count the presence of 4MOTION® AWD as a separate trim from an otherwise identical model that doesn't have 4MOTION® AWD. The chart below uses the simpler approach, but keep in mind that each trim has 4MOTION® AWD as an option except for the SEL Premium R-Line which always has 4MOTION® AWD.
SEL Premium R-Line
|8-Speed Automatic Transmission||Side Mirrors with Memory Feature||VW Digital Cockpit||Park Distance Control|
|Automatic LED Head and Taillights||Driving Mode Selection||Rain-Sensing Windshield Wipers||R-Line Badging|
|Bluetooth® Smartphone Connectivity||Intelligent Crash Response System||Performance Monitor||Adaptive Front Lighting System|
|Rear View Camera System||Adaptive Cruise Control||Pedestrian Monitoring||Stainless Steel Pedal Caps|
Trim Level Comparison Analysis
No one version of this vehicle is any less a quality Volkswagen vehicle than any other. Even at the SE trim, options and safety technology are generous, and styling is rather consistent from model to model. Those who really know they want the best will go for the SEL Premium R-Line without hesitation since it unlocks the true potential of the model instead of just shoving a bunch of new features into the car.
