You don’t need a big family to quickly learn that more room is better. When you have children, it’s simply hard to travel light. Sometimes, it’s nice to have the extra space simply so you can spread them out and limit those backseat distractions. This is why the 2019 Volkswagen Atlas is such a convenient model for shoppers in Seattle WA.

With three rows and seating for seven, the 2018 VW Atlas is the perfect family SUV. A total passenger volume of 153.7 cubic feet means there’s plenty of space even in that third row, plus an additional 20.6 cubic feet of cargo space. For those rare times when you could use more space to bring home a big purchase, the seats fold flat to allow up to 96.8 cubic feet.

New features and trims for the 2019 VW Atlas

Though the 2019 VW Atlas continues to offer a standard 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine or available 3.6-liter V6 engine, there are some non-mechanical changes for the new model year. Chief among them are the additions of the SE w/Technology R-Line and SEL R-Line trims. Volkswagen has introduced the R-Line package to a few different models as shoppers have shown their attraction to the R-Line bumpers, side sills and badging.

For those more interested in standard features, updates to the S trim abound. The model now offers standard Blind Spot Monitor, Front Assist, Rear Traffic Alert, automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers and heated side mirrors. These features are all about convenience, safety and improved visibility, which have always been priorities for VW.

Other standard features that are carried over include silver roof rails, trailer hitch preparation, engine start-stop, LED exterior lighting, cruise control, remote entry, a 6.5-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and a rearview camera system.
