If you just bought or are considering buying a Volkswagen model with the Volkswagen digital cockpit, you might find it a bit difficult to understand, or you might just want to know what features are available to you. Either way, this blog post is dedicated to helping you understand your Volkswagen vehicle’s digital cockpit.

What is the Volkswagen Digital Cockpit?

Technology is an incredible thing. We push technology further every year until it has become a constant in our lives. The Volkswagen Digital Cockpit brings together all of the technology in any car it is included with. It is a digital gauge cluster, navigator, entertainment system, and much more. It combines multiple touchscreens with traditional buttons and gauges, so you have the best of both worlds at the same time.

How to Use the Volkswagen Digital Cockpit

The home screen for your digital gauge cluster includes everything you’re used to seeing through the gap in your steering wheel. You still get big radial dials for your RPMs and speedometer, but you also get a digital MPH readout on the lower right, a digital clock in the middle left, and the gear selection on the lower left. Look for fuel range and your trip computer on the bottom. You will notice a vertical engine temperature gauge on the left and a vertical fuel gauge on the right.

Between the gauges you can use the controls on your steering wheel to switch between audio, calls, driving data, assist system, and navigation information displays. The navigation display can minimize your gauges to give you more map visibility, and a few other options you can choose from for the greatest ease of viewing.

How to Use the Volkswagen Infotainment Screen

Volkswagen is an industry leader when it comes to infotainment. The screen in the middle of the vehicle’s dashboard gives you control over apps, other vehicle information, and more by using the touchscreen, physical buttons, and two knobs. For the most part, basic functions like the radio work the same way they have in cars for decades.
