The 2020 Volkswagen Jetta is basically the perfect compact sedan. It’s small enough to get great fuel economy and fun handling, but it’s big enough to fit five passengers. And that’s not just counting the back three passengers as children. Three adults should fit in the back just fine in most situations without complaint. While most people these days are going for SUVs without even considering the possibility a sedan like the Jetta could be a better fit for them, we wanted to remind everyone that sedans are not out of fashion. Experts tend to blame car manufacturers for the commonly-cited wisdom that all-wheel drive is a necessity for those who live in areas that get heavy rain or snow, and it’s repeated so often that it seems like truth. To be fair, there is some reasoning behind it! All-wheel drive does improve traction, especially in certain vehicles with systems that constantly monitor and adjust power distribution for optimal traction, like it does in the 2018 Volkswagen Atlas with 4Motion all-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is particularly useful when you’re starting to accelerate from a stop. And, all things considered, if all-wheel drive is what it takes to get you out of the house in winter, go for it. But do you really need it? The answer is: depends!

Volkswagen recalls over 6,000 units including 2015 Volkswagen Golf

Like BMW and Nissan a few weeks ago, Volkswagen recalls issued for a list of their vehicles because of problems with fuel pumps provided by Bosch. The engineering company supplied Volkswagen vehicles with nickel-plated parts that could lead to engine problems. It has been discovered that the nickel plating on the fuel pumps of select models of vehicles has the potential to chip and flake off. Along with the 2015 Volkswagen GTI, Volkswagen recalls include the 2015 Volkswagen Golf and Audi A4. (more…)
