What is the VW Golf GTI TCR Concept?
We love all concept cars, don’t get us wrong, but that doesn’t mean we love them all equally. As soon as Volkswagen announces a concept is almost ready for production, we’re obviously much more interested. It means we might someday get to drive it ourselves. In some ways, it can feel like modern vehicles carry on the same name as their predecessors, but hardly share the same DNA. Volkswagen recently purchased and restored a 1982 Volkswagen Jetta, which was originally thought of as a Golf with a trunk. Since these early years, the Jetta has deviated in design quite a lot from the Golf, but that also means it doesn’t look much like the original Jetta model.
