2017 Volkswagen Golf Sportwagen vs 2017 Mini Clubman
The 2017 Volkswagen Sportwagen is available in eight vivid colors allowing you to perfectly create a vehicle that matches your own personal style. Much like Volkswagen's other vehicles, the 2017 Sportwagen features Bi-Xenon headlights which are capable of lighting up even the darkest of Pacific Northwestern nights. And with the available roof rails, you'll be able to take all your gear along to one of Washington State's numerous lakes, and other camping sites when you need to get away for the weekend. While you're headed out and leaving the hustle and bustle of everyday life behind for a while, the last thing you want to worry about is gas. The 2017 Sportwagen boasts an incredible 35 miles per gallon on average on the highway. You'll probably forget what a gas station looks like before you need to fill up.
Under the hood, the 2017 Sportwagen houses a 1.8L turbocharged TSI® engine that is capable of cranking out 170 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. This turbocharged beast allows the 2017 Sportwagen to gain the best from both the performance world, and the fuel-efficient world. Some might say it's the complete package. While you're driving along, the 2017 Sportwagen is able to transfer torque to the wheels that need it most thanks to its 4MOTION technology. During normal driving condition, the front axle will receive the majority of the torque, but when your Sportwagen recognizes that the rear wheels need a bit extra, it can transfer power to the back. Now, let's take a look at how the 2017 Volkswagen Sportwagen stacks up against the 2017 Mini Clubman.

2017 Volkswagen Golf Sportwagen in Seattle, WA
The 2017 Mini Clubman is a terrific vehicle, and we thought it competed admirably. There were just a few areas where it wasn't able to hold a candle to the 2017 Sportwagen. Starting off with MRSP, the 2017 Sportwagen is approximately $3,000 less than the 2017 Clubman. While this isn't a huge differencec in the world of automobiles, having such a price difference in addition to the standard and available conveniences that the Sportwagen offers is like finding an extra $20 in the pocket of your favorite pair of jeans. While not a standard feature, the Blind-Spot Monitoring system is a huge bonus to have. Think of the last time you were cruising down the highway and you saw someone almost switch lanes while there was another vehicle right next to them. Pretty scary, right? With the Blind-Spot Monitoring system, your Sportwagen will be able to sense when there are other vehicles next to you, and warns you to stay in your lane. We still always recommend checking before changing lanes, though.
