Both the 2018 Volkswagen Atlas and 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan are new options for the model year, but with their introduction came a side effect: where are the smaller VW SUVs?  The old Tiguan became the Tiguan Limited, and was set for discontinuation once inventory ran low, while the premium-focused Touareg was also discontinued. Though it’s true that the Tiguan is available in a two-row option, what about a high-powered, premium five-passenger SUV? Well, for 2019 the Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport is going into production. A Volkswagen truck? What kind of crazy idea is that! Well, not too crazy, since Volkswagen recently unveiled the Tanoak, a stylish pickup truck that may or may not make its way to our shores sometime in the near future. This pickup truck is based on the current Atlas model and features a 3.6-liter V6 engine with 276 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque. It will also feature an efficient eight-speed automatic transmission and the 4MOTION® all-wheel-drive system. See the most recently-released pictures below!

Volkswagen recently unveiled a groundbreaking vehicle at the 2016 Paris Motor Show — the all-electric Volkswagen I.D. Based off of Volkswagen’s innovative Modular Electric Drive Kit (MEB), the I.D. uses a 168-horsepower electric motor and has a range of between 249 and 373 miles on a single battery charge.
