Touareg Adventure The Touareg Adventure offered one of Carter Volkswagen’s senior sales staff, Bill Stutzman the opportunity to go to Moab, Utah and participate in an exclusive off-road adventure learning off-road driving techniques. It was fun, exciting and took him to places he never thought a vehicle could go. Some of the terrain was so scary that Bill’s finger prints are permanently imbedded into the steering wheel from holding on so tightly! This experience matches the dual nature of Volkswagen’s luxury SUV: mountain goat prowess in the backcountry with the refined manners of a sports sedan on pavement. It demonstrated the differences between the Touareg2 and it’s competitors on-road/off-road capabilities. The Moab trip gave participants the opportunity to use the Touareg 2 on a full range of terrain and obstacles. Bill not only learned to drive with greater skill and confidence, but learned to “spot” and direct others through tight maneuvers. Bill took away a greater sense of off-road confidence and discretion – knowing what he and the Touareg can do safely. Additionally, he adhered to the principles of “Tread Lightly” and demonstrated practices that minimize our impact on the lands we all share.
